This weekend, only the Italians will play a league match among all the big five leagues, but it will be interesting in the cups in England and France. The odds were current as of the date the ticket was compiled.
Bologna – Genoa – fr 1 @ 2.01 at Mozzartbet
The guests from Liguria have quickly returned to the elite, but this season we won’t see the Genoa derby as Sampdoria is now in Serie B. However, Genoa has other big rivals in the top league competition. One of them is Bologna, a team that is playing brilliantly this season and, against all odds, is currently in an excellent 5th place, close to a position that leads to the Champions League. Bologna was fourth until the last round, but then suffered a convincing defeat in Udine, only their third of the season. Perhaps it’s better to lose once 3:0 than three times 1:0, if Bologna wants to look at the defeat optimistically. Before the loss in Udine, Bologna had four consecutive victories, one of which was in the Coppa Italia when they, as visitors, celebrated against Inter. Unlike Bologna, Genoa’s team is in the lower half of the table, currently in 12th place, but the Griffins are on the rise and in the last three rounds have earned a point against Juventus and Inter at home and celebrated a visit to Sassuolo.
However, at Renato Dall’Ara this season, only Napoli has won a point, so we suggest a Home Win (fr 1) with odds of 2.01 at Mozzartbet.
Brentford – Wolverhampton – t2 over 1.5 @ 2.70 at Mozzartbet
Less than ten days ago, these two teams played in the league at the same venue, and the Wolves trampled the Bees at the Community. Wolves celebrated a 4:1 victory, but the hosts helped them a lot with their mistakes in scoring goals. It was another confirmation that Brentford is in terrible form and should start worrying about survival. The Bees are on a streak of five consecutive losses, with 7 defeats and only one triumph in the last 8 rounds. This is currently only enough for the 16th position in the table. On the other hand, Wolverhampton has picked up, with a streak of three wins, and have taken 13 points in the last six rounds. Wolverhampton is now 11th in the table and could join the fight for Europe. As for the FA Cup, this is still an early stage, and the draw was certainly not merciful to either team. Since they are Premier League teams, they are just now joining the FA Cup, and only one can proceed further. Judging by the form, Wolves are closer to success, even though the game is again played on Brentford’s turf.
Our suggestion is for the visitor to score two goals, and for t2 over 1.5 goals the odds are 2.70 at Mozzartbet bookmaker.
Boavista – Porto – 2&ov 1.5 @ 1.63 at Mozzartbet
This is the Porto city derby, which always carries uncertainty even when there is a significant difference in the quality of the teams, as has been the case in the previous decade. Boavista, after 15 rounds, is tied from 10th to 13th place with three other teams, each having earned 16 points. This team was once the champion of Portugal, a completely unexpected achievement at the beginning of this century, in the 2000/01 season, triumphing just ahead of Porto, who fell short by only one point. Since then, they haven’t had major successes, not even in the cup. For Porto, everything is well-known; they are former European champions, but also a team that this season has played better in the Champions League than in the Primeira Liga. The Dragons are currently third in the domestic league, behind Lisbon rivals Benfica and Sporting, but the difference is not so great that they would give up in advance on trying to regain the title that last season went to Benfica’s trophy cabinet. The black-and-white players of Boavista are in very poor form, having taken only one point in the last seven league rounds, and it is hard to expect that they will break this bad streak in the city derby against Porto. The stakes are high, but the guest is a more quality team and should take all three points.
Along with the away win, we add two goals for Porto, and for 2&ov 1.5 goals the odds are 1.63 at the Mozzartbet bookmaker.
