The selection is much weaker today, but that’s how it is on Thursdays when there are no European cups. However, there is enough material for compiling tickets. The odds we suggested were valid at the time of writing the text.
Antwerp – St. Gilloise – Total UNDER 2.5 @ 2.00 at betBonanza
Antwerp will not defend their champion title in the Jupiler League but that doesn’t mean they have nothing to play for at the season’s end. In Belgium, there’s again a fierce battle for the championship title, and now four teams are in contention, including Anderlecht, Genk, and Club Brugge, as well as the Royal Union team, which, it seems, will be the biggest loser for the third consecutive season. The team from the Brussels district of Saint-Gilles was convincingly first during the regular part of the season, but when the points were divided, that lead was immediately reduced. Adding to everything was their poor form, and Royal Union has lost all four playoff matches so far. For the fans of this club, all this has been seen before in the previous two seasons when first Club Brugge and then Antwerp snatched the title from them. The team from Antwerp had a poor start in the playoffs but won against Cercle Brugge away in the last round. With that victory, they matched Cercle Brugge in points and threatened Genk, who is fourth, a position that leads to Europe. Overall, both teams are very poor in the playoffs, and we do not expect a spectacular duel between them.
Our suggestion is a low number of goals, and for Total UNDERÂ 2.5 goals, the odds are 2.00 at betBonanza.
Go Ahead Eagles – Feyenoord – Both teams to score – YES and Total OVER 2.5 @ 1.85 at betBonanza
The competition in the Dutch Eredivisie is nearing its end, with only four rounds left to play, and we have also crowned the cup winner. In the final, which meant there was no top-tier football last weekend, Feyenoord defeated NEC Nijmegen, making this season a successful one. Besides the Dutch Cup trophy, the team from Rotterdam will finish as runners-up behind the dominant PSV. It remains to be seen how motivated the Rotterdammers will be for a fight in Deventer where they face the excellent Eagles. Go Ahead Eagles is a team currently in 8th place and almost certainly will play in the playoffs for a spot in the Conference League. The competition will be fierce there, potentially including the famous Ajax and cup finalist NEC. Points are more crucial for the home team, which has not yet secured a playoff spot, but Feyenoord must be mindful of their reputation. In the first part of the season, Feyenoord won 3-1 at De Kuip and has also won their last six matches against the team from Deventer. We expect a fight for victory from both sides, and thus we suggest a bet on goals.
For Both teams to score – YES and Total OVERÂ 2.5 Goals the odds are 1.85 at betBonanza.
Halmstad – Hammarby IF – Hammarby IF to Win @ 1.90 at betBonanza
The new season in Sweden has just begun, and the current champion, Malmo, has already sent a message to its rivals. After four rounds, Malmo has the maximum number of points with a goal difference of 12:1. It has happened in previous seasons that this team starts off strong but does not finish first in the end. Last year, they were champions only thanks to a better goal difference compared to Elfsborg. As for Halmstad and Hammarby, these two teams have started with mixed results. They each have two wins and two losses from the first four matches, with Hammarby being better placed due to a much better goal difference. Halmstad has scored only two goals, both times winning by the narrowest of margins, while losing 3:0 to Sirius and 2:0 to Brommapojkarna. Hammarby has faced tougher opponents, defeating Kalmar and Elfsborg at home but losing away to Malmo and Hacken. By the caliber of their opponents, it’s evident that Hammarby is of higher quality than Halmstad, and thus for this match, we recommend betting on the away win.
For Hammarby IF to Win, the odds at betBonanza are 1.90.
FC Fredericia – AaB Aalborg – Both teams to score – YES @ 1.53 at betBonanza
Although there are still 6 rounds left in the Danish second league playoffs, it seems the main question has been resolved. The top two teams will ascend to the elite, and unless something extraordinary happens at the season’s end, those will be SonderjyskE and Aalborg. For Aalborg, this was expected, as they are a former champion of this country who unexpectedly slipped into a lower division last season. Things haven’t gone smoothly for Aalborg; they are in poor form and without a win in their last three matches, but they still hold a 15-point lead over third-placed Fredericia. A potential victory in their head-to-head match could reduce this gap to 12 points, but that’s still too much for the remaining 5 rounds. The season has been long, and perhaps fatigue is the reason for Aalborg’s poor streak in April, when they lost to Hobro and drew with Vendsyssel and Kolding. During the regular part of the season, Aalborg won both league matches against Fredericia, but Fredericia’s players were more successful in the Danish Cup, reaching the semifinals of that competition.
Here we expect to see at least one goal on each side, and for Both teams to score – YES the odds are 1.53 at betBonanza.
