One of the last weekends with a great offer before New Year’s is upon us. The European cups are finished, at least until spring, and now clubs are turning their attention to domestic competitions. The odds were valid at the time of ticket compilation.
Genoa – Juventus – 2 @ 1.85 at Mozzart
We must admit that Juventus is playing above expectations, and if not, they are certainly achieving better results than anyone had hoped for. In the last round, they defeated last year’s champions Napoli in Turin, with the decisive goal coming from defender Gatti, who also scored the crucial goal against Monza.
Genoa, back in the elite, is out of the relegation zone after 15 rounds but only three points above it. The Griffins have only gained one point in the last three rounds and were also knocked out of the Italian Cup. The majority of Genoa’s points have been won at home, with only Milan and Fiorentina taking three points from the famous port. We believe Juventus will be the third team to celebrate in Genoa, with odds of 1.85 for a win at Mozzart.
M’gladbach – Werder – T1 over 1.5 @ 1.75 at Mozzart
If nothing else, the Foals have stabilized their form at their Borussia Park, winning their last five matches, three in the Bundesliga and two in the DFB Cup. Advancing to the quarterfinals of the cup could be a chance for a triumph in that competition, considering only three Bundesliga teams remain in contention. As for the league, M’gladbach is in the middle of the table, currently in 10th place with a significant gap from the teams in the European competition zone. This is a rejuvenated Borussia team, and no one expected spectacular results. What they are known for is their efficiency, averaging two goals per match, despite being far from the top. In the first match of the 15th round in Mönchengladbach, Werder Bremen is visiting.
The team from Bremen ended a four-match winless streak with a victory over Wolfsburg at their Weser Stadium, making them much more relaxed for this visit. Werder is two places below M’gladbach with two points less. In case of a win, they would overtake their host, but Borussia seems closer to success, and it’s even more likely that they will score two goals. Monaco has won their last four home games at Stade Louis II, scoring at least two goals in each. We believe in their triumph with at least two goals scored. In the last round, Westerlo celebrated a victory in their visit to Kortrijk, thus passing the “lantern” to that team.
This is the 18th round of the championship, marking the start of the second part of the regular season, meaning the rivals from this round met at the start, i.e., in the 1st round. Then, Eupen hosted Westerlo, and the match ended with a 2:2 score. Eupen has not been playing well lately, without a win in five rounds and also knocked out of the cup. They have fallen into the relegation zone, specifically among the last four placed teams, and have only one more point than Westerlo.
