Freiburg vs. Bayern – 2&ov 1.5 @ 1.67 at BetBonanza
If it weren’t for Harry Kane last Saturday, it’s questionable whether Bayern would still be considered a serious contender for the title. Perhaps we’re overstating it since then the gap between Leverkusen and Bayern would have been just two points larger, now it’s 8, and it could have been 10. However, the Englishman scored two goals against Leipzig, including the winning goal in the 92nd minute, thus maintaining the gap with the Pharmacists. Now, Bayern must continue to win and be patient. Leverkusen has yet to lose this season, and the issue is that both matchups between the top two teams have already been played. At the Allianz Arena, they must hope for a dip in form from Xabi Alonso’s team and then close the gap, hoping they won’t withstand the pressure. Bayern is visiting Freiburg, a team out of form, having garnered just one point in the last five rounds. Both teams have European commitments next week, with Bayern playing the return leg of the Champions League Round of 16, seeking to overturn a one-goal deficit against Lazio, while Freiburg plays the first match of the same round in the Europa League against West Ham. We have no doubt here, Bayern will win and we believe there will be at least two goals and the odds are 1.67 at BetBonanza.
West Bromwich Albion vs. Coventry – 1 @ 2.10 at BetBonanza
Both teams see themselves in the Championship playoffs, hoping to grab that last, third ticket to the elite. Winning one of the top two spots at the end of the season is out of reach, Leicester is secure, and Ipswich, Leeds, and Southampton will contest the second spot. Two playoff positions remain, and both West Brom and Coventry hope they can be among those two teams. Currently, the Birmingham team is closer to this goal, with WBA sitting in 5th place with 56 points before this round. Coventry, after 34 rounds, is in 8th place with 52 points, and has a realistic chance to move up to the fifth or sixth place. West Brom has only one loss in the last six rounds, and that defeat came against Southampton at home. Coventry is also in good form, this team, after three consecutive matches without a loss, was defeated by Preston at home but has meanwhile advanced in the FA Cup, finding itself among the eight best in the world’s oldest football competition. In the first match between these two teams in the current season, WBA won 2-0 in Coventry, and we believe they will be successful again in Birmingham. Westerlo vs. Charleroi – T1 over 1.5 @ 1.95 at BetBonanza
The regular part of the Jupiler League is entering its final stages. Three rounds remain, after which the league will be divided into three parts. The top six teams will compete for the title, the next six will fight for a place in the Conference League qualifications, and the last four teams will battle to avoid relegation. As it stands, Charleroi would be in that last group and will try by all means to move up at least one place by the end. Westerlo isn’t entirely at ease either, sitting in 10th position but only 4 points ahead of their current rival. A draw might suffice for the host, but a victory would be a significant step towards securing a mid-table position. Westerlo was much better last season, narrowly missing out on finishing among the top four teams, but they started this season with a string of poor results and were long at the bottom of the table. Now, they’re playing much better, which cannot be said for Charleroi. The visitors have taken only one point in the last four rounds and in the second half of the season have won only once with up to 5 losses. This explains their poor standing and it’s hard to predict if they can pull through at the eleventh hour. For this match, we consider Westerlo will be offensively oriented and score at least two goals. Whether that will be enough for a win remains to be seen. Čukarički vs. Napredak – GG @ 1.85 at BetBonanza
The team from Kruševac started the second part of the season well with seven points, while Čukarički collected 6 from three matches. After two victories, an easy one in Surdulica against Radnik, and a somewhat lucky one against the team from Pančevo, the Hillmen were defeated by Red Star at the “Rajko Mitić” stadium without posing a real threat to the champion. It’s still hard to evaluate Čukarički’s season, the first in which they played in the group stage of a European competition. They did not fare well in the Conference League, losing all eight matches, 6 in the group stage and two in the Europa League qualifiers. Nor are they performing at last year’s level in the domestic league, although they are currently 4th on the table. The top three teams have pulled away significantly, and the chasers are much closer, so they will have to work hard if they want to make it to the European stage again. The “Sockmen” played terribly at the start of the season, and only with the arrival of the experienced Vladimir Gaćinović as the coach did Napredak start to rise. They play much better away, having won five times as visitors, while their Sunday victory over Novi Pazar was only their third at the Mladost stadium in the city under Bagdala. It was an excellent performance by Napredak, reviving hopes they can make the playoffs. They are only two points away from it at this moment, and anything is possible until the 30th round. Last autumn, Čuka fell in Kruševac, in a real mud bath Napredak celebrated a minimal victory, and now we believe in an efficient match at Banovo Brdo with at least a goal in both nets.
