Today’s offerings can’t compare to yesterday’s, but it’s somehow easier to compile a ticket when there are just enough matches to pick from. The odds were current at the time of writing.
Almeria – Sevilla – Under 2.5 Goals @ 1.90 in 22Bet
It’s incredible that Almeria still hasn’t won a game this season in La Liga. They’ve played 27 matches, losing 18 and drawing 9. Interestingly, they’ve managed to stay unbeaten against Atletico Madrid, Bilbao, Girona, and many others in the recent period, but even when they’ve lost, it’s been by a goal difference, except in the match against Alaves.
They’ve lost 3:2 in away games against Barca and Real, and in Madrid, they could have easily won as they had a two-goal lead. What good does that do when a win is still elusive? Next season they’ll be playing in Segunda, that’s been clear for a while, but their spirits are not dampened. We believe they’ll do everything to beat their biggest rival Sevilla in the Andalusian derby and at least make their fans a little happy. The visitors are in excellent form, having beaten Atletico and Sociedad, two participants in the Champions League round of 16, drawn a point in Valencia, and lost minimally in Madrid against Real.
Sevilla is still very low on the table, which does not suit such a club. Sevilla lost the last time they were in Almeria, and now we expect a tough fight and few goals. The odds for under 2.5 goals are 1.90 at 22Bet.
Randers – Midtjylland – 2 @ 1.95 in 22Bet
With their win over FC Copenhagen in the last round, Midtjylland took the top position in Denmark, but that only confirmed we would have a more uncertain finish than ever. Now, second-placed Brondby is a point behind the team from Herning, and the reigning champion is three points behind. Nordsjaelland has also returned to the race, and we can’t wait for the playoffs and the showdowns of the best Danish teams to start.
The regular season matches will be played next week, and then, after the international break, the real action begins. In the last match of this round, we note that we don’t know the results of Brondby and Copenhagen, Midtjylland visits Randers seeking a win to keep them on top. The host, after two consecutive wins, was convincingly defeated in the last round away at Viborg, reducing their chances to finish in the upper part to theory.
Before this round, they were five points behind the last team in the playoff zone and needed to win both of their remaining games, but also for Silkeborg to lose both of theirs. We don’t believe in that, so we are convinced Midtjylland will take the points from Randers. The odds for an away win are 1.95 at 22Bet.
Warta – LKS Lodz – 1 @ 2.00 in 22Bet
Both of these Polish teams are fighting to stay in the elite, with the home team’s chances being more than realistic, while the guests must hope for a miracle. For the miracle to happen, they need help, but LKS is on a streak of bad results, and it seems they are slowly giving up. They entered the elite last spring, started not so badly with two wins in the first few matches, but then won only one out of the next twenty or so games.
That one win came in the last round when they defeated Puszcza, last year’s rival from the second league, at home in Lodz. Warta is playing much better, hasn’t lost since the season resumed, and managed to defeat the current champion, Rakow, at home. In that match, they conceded the only goal this spring, and in the next three games, their net wasn’t shaken.
A win over LKS would be a significant step towards achieving their goal of survival, and we have no doubt they will succeed. The odds for a home win are 2.00 at 22Bet.
Jong PSV – Groningen – 2 @ 1.57 in 22Bet
Groningen seems to have focused too much on the cup in the previous period, which has cost them a better performance in the Eerste Divisie championship. Now they’re playing much better, and it seems that the “green-whites” haven’t been too late in the battle for a return to the first league, where they belong. In the last five rounds, they’ve taken 13 points, losing only in the Dutch Cup semifinal against Feyenoord in Rotterdam by 2:1.
On Friday, they easily dealt with MVV from Maastricht, winning 3:0, and last Monday, they also beat Den Bosch away. They are only 4 points behind second-placed Roda but have played one game less, presenting a chance to reduce the gap to just one point. Jong PSV lacks competitive motivation, mainly serving to groom players for the new Dutch champions, and are currently in the 16th position with 28 points. An away win should come, and we believe it will. The odds for a Groningen win are 1.57 at 22Bet.
